Lionel standard gauge wheel early after market replacement for broken originals

Description

Wheel is the same diameter as the later Lionel standard gauge wheels used on the electric type engines. Many of the original Lionel wheels were subject to zinc pest and warped or disintegrated. A few manufacturers made replacements out of aluminum, brass, bronze, and other materials to enable these locomotives to run again. This is most likely not a homemade wheel since the rim is attached with 4 studs and it shows other signs of at least a small lot manufacturer. Many home made locos of the period had wheels such as these.
