Hand Fan Antique Mother Pearl & Bone. Double Sided Painting

Description

Extraordinary and large fan with two beautifully rendered paintings on paper, still mounted and folded, with few tears. The paintings are very different in coloration - one pastels and one deeper tones.
The guards are large and made of thick mother of pearl, carved beautifully and showing lots of gold and silver leaf, much of it crumbled and falling off. Both guards are broken, but parts are there to fit in a restoration. One guard has two breaks, one a single break. Nice gold shapely ring holding the pivot.
I have many photos if requested. The inner ribs are finely carved bone and all are intact and also probably had heavy gold/silver leaf embellishment.
