Antique Hand Held Ladies Fan with Feathers Carved Wood. I wish I had more history on this fan. It was in my 93 year old Mother in Law’s trunk, but I think it is much older than her era. The fan is made of wood with a a stamped floral design on each rib and the sides. The ribs also have the same design cut out. There is gold paint on the floral designs. The fabric is a red metallic that is either dirty or faded. It is brighter in the creases. The fabric is still strong. There is a multicolor braid ribbon stitched on the fabric. Then there are red ostrich feathers. The feathers are flaking off. They are in delicate condition. The length of the fan is 12”. There is a brass bail that has a red silk ribbon tied onto it. The ribbon has some melting of the silk. This fan needs to be shipped Priority Mail.
