You are bidding on an Anritsu NetTest CMA5000 OTDR Multi Layer Network Test Mainframe. We have two units in stock, both with options 150 (Read / Write CD) and DC (DC / Battery Powered). MAINFRAME ONLY WITH NO MODULES INSTALLED SO BID ACCORDINGLY! THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS ISSUED TO BUYERS THAT SIMPLY DON'T READ WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION. Both units were calibrated in May 2012 and come with an ANSI Z540 certificate of calibration. The Anritsu CMA5000 tests Gigabit Ethernet, DWDM, SONET, OTDR, ORL, Fibre Channel, PMD and CD all with the same easy to use multi-layer test platform.
Anritsu's CMA5000 OTDR is the premier test and measurement solution for installing, commissioning and documenting fiber optic networks. Utilizing a common platform, the CMA5000 provides complete testing for multiple network layers all at the touch of a single button. As a high performance, scalable solution, the CMA5000 aids in accelerating the deployment of new services and optimizing network performance, while reducing the cost of measurement. With its ability to span the Physical, Data Link, Network and Transport layers with test and measurement applications ranging from DWDM, SONET/SDH, Gigabit Ethernet, OTDR and Dispersion, the CMA5000 is the ideal solution for any scenario. With its PC based, open architecture design and common computer interface, the CMA5000 is able to easily remain up-to-date with the latest applications necessary to install and maintain current and evolving telecommunication networks. Numerous test technologies have been incorporated into an expandable platform allowing a single unit to adapt and evolve to meet any testing need. Thus the CMA provides best-in-class performance for every testing application to dramatically decrease testing time, further reducing the cost of measurement.
The CMA5000 is also designed to maximize network performance and accelerate the deployment of new services. The CMA5000 allows you to quickly and easily characterize critical network parameters and diagnose network impairments. Network performance and reliability can quickly be documented to accelerate the deployment of new services. As the leader in optical fiber and network characterization, the CMA5000 offers all of the test applications required for comprehensive physical layer characterization, including: OTDR, Chromatic Dispersion, Polarization Mode Dispersion, Loss Test Set and Optical Return Loss, Supplemental tools such as a Visual Fault Locator, integrated Talk Set and Video Inspection Probe are also available for a complete testing solution. For characterizing and documenting performance levels, the CMA5000's Optical Transport Analysis (OTA) application provides efficient, reliable testing of a multitude of parameters, including Alarm and Error Analysis, APS with 125 us resolution, Round Trip Delay measurement with 100 ns resolution and network availability and performance evaluation. The OTA application characterizes networks supplying PDH/T-carriers to SONET/SDH up to 10 Gb/s. The OTA's Troublescan features automatically detect problems, allowing network impairments to be identified and rectified quickly.
The CMA5000 Gigabit Ethernet application measures critical parameters during network installation, including throughput, latency, burstability and frame loss, (as detailed in RFC 2544) to ensure proper and efficient deployment of services. For troubleshooting, the Channel Statistics option for the CMA5000 allows the user to quickly identify the root cause of network impairments, not just the symptoms. The Channel Statistics option presents detailed statistics on all traffic received for up to 8,000 individual Ethernet or IP addresses, VLAN tags or MPLS labels. When combined with comprehensive, professional reporting, these features allow you to install, maintain, troubleshoot and document 10/100/1000 Mbps based Ethernet networks.
The CMA5000 Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) application reduces the time to install, commission and maintain fiber spans. Featuring a multitude of available wavelengths, up to 50 dB of dynamic range and deadzones as small as 1.0 meter, the OTDR application is the ideal solution for testing long-haul backbone networks, Metropolitan Optical Networks (MON) and FTTP deployments that incorporate Passive Optical Networks (PON). The CMA5000 Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) application characterizes the data rate capability of each fiber quickly identifying which fibers are capable of providing higher data rates and increased revenue potential. The CMA5000 Chromatic Dispersion application provides accurate CD characterization to maximize bandwidth. This application quickly measures the chromatic dispersion, chromatic dispersion slope and the zero-dispersion wavelength of any fiber type to allow optimized compensation.

All items sold on Ebay come with a standard 30 day right of return warranty from the date of receipt, unless otherwise specified in the auction details. Payment in full is required prior to shipment. Buyers are required to notify us immediately if an instrument arrives damaged, and must keep all boxes and packing materials in case a UPS damage inspection is necessary. An extended warranty of 30 days is available for all direct purchases from Spaulding Surplus, LLC and established customers purchasing directly may qualify for net 30 payment terms with PO required prior to shipment.

All Ebay items can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase should they not function as intended, unless they are being sold AS IS with known defects. The verification of product capability is the sole responsibility of the buyer. PO's and purchases cancelled due to insufficient instrument capability, buyer's remorse or loss of order are always subject to a 20% restocking fee.
